'Le Village' is an estate of 8ha., mainly grassland and a forest of 1ha. It is situated on top of a hill just outside the village of Fabas, which guarantees a magnificent view on the surrounding valleys with their ever changing range of colours and on the nearby Pyrenees. Especially the sunsets are often breath taking.
'Le Village' is originally a farm built in 1726 with materials of the former castle of Fabas. Part of these materials can still be seen in the building. With its ground surface of 340 m², the building offers large and pleasant rooms.
The private outside swimming pool (10 x 5 metres) is at our guests' disposal, and there is also a smaller one for our youngest guests. It is without any doubt a great pleasure to enjoy the sun in the middle of a green scenery. At night, the swimming pool is illuminated for those who like to have a cosy swim !
Fabas is a little village (150 inhabitants) in the canton of L'Isle-en-Dodon, department of the Haute Garonne, at a distance of only 40 kms. of the 'red city', Toulouse. The Haute Garonne is one of the most beautiful French departments, well known because of its friendly and mild climate and its exceptionally rich fauna and flora. The department is embraced by the Pyrenees and some famous wine producing regions (Languedoc-Roussillon, Aude, Tarn, Limoux, ...).
Fabas itself is situated in a rural environment on top of a hill at an altitude of 340 m., and only 50 kms. from the Pyrenees. Connoiseurs as well as enthusiasts of the Tour de France are most certainly familiar with the Col de Tourmalet, the Col de Soulor and the Col de Peyresourde (to name just a few).
